It does not appear that any precinct lines may change in Starke County following the 2020 census.
Starke County Clerk Bernadette Manuel told the Starke County Election Board members Wednesday morning that there two minor changes made in Center 4 and Center 6 and Wayne 2 and Wayne 3 where boundaries were changed. The lines were straightened so they do not intersect buildings in the districts. She noted that the number of voters in those districts will not change.
The reprecincting process needs to be completed by the Starke County Commissioners by December 31, 2021. More information on changes at the state and federal level will come in late September or early October.
