With work continuing on U.S. 421 during this weekend’s Francesville Fall Festival, Coordinator Betty Kruger alerts visitors to use an alternate route to get to events in downtown Francesville.
She said visitors traveling south on U.S. 421 toward Francesville should turn left (or east) on 200 S. next to West Central School Corporation, to 1450 W. and then right to reach downtown Francesville. Commercial traffic should continue to utilize the official detour that includes State Road 16, State Road 39 and State Road 14.
U.S. 421 is currently closed between Gordon Street and County Road 300 S. for a culvert and storm sewer line replacement project. The work began August 23 and is expected to last through the end of September.
The Francesville Fall Festival is Friday, Saturday and Sunday. More details about events will be included in Friday’s news.
