Twenty-Five New Cases of COVID-19 Reported in Tri-County Area

There were 13 new cases of COVID-19 in Marshall County and 12 new cases of COVID-19 in Starke County, according to Tuesday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health.  They are among 2,378 newly reported cases in the state. 

Another 89 people have died of COVID-19 between September 21 and September 27 which pushes the total number of deaths to 15,069. 

The number of hospitalizations is going down.  The state’s coronavirus dashboard showed the census at 2,113 on September 27 compared to 2,477 one week ago. 

Indiana Department of Health Strike Team will be in Pulaski County Friday, October 1 and Saturday, October 2 from Noon to 8 p.m. ET at the Winamac Knights of Columbus to offer COVID-19 testing and vaccinations to residents.

Rapid antigen and PCR testing are available with no appointments necessary.  The Pfizer and Johnson and Johnson vaccines will be available.   The Pfizer vaccine can be administered to children from age 12 to 17.
