Five more pumpkin train excursions are planned at the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum Saturday, October 30.
Riders may choose from four different times to jump on the pumpkin train: 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. CT. The 45-minute trip goes through northwest Indiana’s countryside. When the train returns to the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum, everyone may choose a pumpkin for $3.00.
The last ride aboard the Halloween Twilight Train departs for a two-and-a-half to three hour trip that begins at 4:15 p.m. CT. This trip includes a “not so scary, scary animal show”. The train is expected to return after sunset so travelers should dress accordingly.
Reservations can be made by visiting www.hoosiervalley.org. Pumpkins may also be purchased at the time train tickets are selected. Tickets must be picked up in the depot prior to boarding.
