Knox City Council to Meet Tonight

The Knox City Council will have an update on the blight clearance project with Grant Administration Services when they meet tonight.

The city was awarded almost $138,000 in federal Community Development Block Grant money through the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) Blight Clearance Program for the demolition of the former Knox Moose Lodge.  According to the grant announcement from OCRA, the demolition includes the removal of about 6,900 square feet of floor tile and tile adhesive containing asbestos.

The council will also consider approving the salary ordinance.  Clerk-Treasurer Cyndi Kidder will also have an update as will Mayor Dennis Estok.

The Knox City Council members will meet at 6 p.m. CT tonight at Knox City Hall at 101 W. Washington Street.
