As construction continues at the Pulaski County Justice Center in Winamac, the contractor for the project, Tonn and Blank, plans to close the Meridian Street sidewalk Wednesday, October 27 and Thursday, October 28 for replacement.
The existing sidewalk is anticipated to be removed Wednesday with the new sidewalk installed on Thursday.
As a result, the ramp will be closed to the basement of the Pulaski County Courthouse.
If there is inclement weather that delays the pouring of cement for this portion of the project, contractors will be looking at laying stone or placing a ramp or mat as a way for residents to access the ramp to the basement of the courthouse.
In the meantime, arrangements can be made to conduct business inside the courthouse by calling an office holder to complete needed transactions.
