The Starke County Commissioners will be closing the application process for the EMS Director position October 8.
Starke County Auditor Rachel Oesterreich reminded the commissioners that the job was posted last week and four applications have been received so far. She asked about a closing date and an interview day.
Commissioner Mark Gourley said he would like the incoming director to have some time with outgoing EMS Director Travis Clary before his last day in the position November 1. As previously reported, Clary plans to go back to being a full-time paramedic. Clary has served as Starke County EMS director since 2017.
The commissioners agreed to close the application process Friday, October 8 and hold interviews October 12, with the anticipation of appointing a new director at their next meeting on October 18.
