One person was injured in an accident early Tuesday morning in Starke County.
Starke County Sheriff’s Department officers were called to State Road 8 and Range Road where they found that a semi was traveling west on State Road 8 when the right front tire when off into the north ditch which caused the semi tractor trailer to strike several trees and flip upside down off the side of the road, according to the report.
Police say the driver, 32-year-old Nathan Jenkins of Rochester, was injured and transported to the hospital for treatment.
The Starke County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Starke County EMS, Knox-Center Township Fire Department, Indiana State Police Department of Transportation and Howard’s Towing. The area was closed to traffic during the investigation.
