West Central School Board Approves 2022 Budget, Capital Projects Plan, Bus Replacement Plan

The West Central School Board members discussed the 2022 budget when they met earlier this month.

According to the advertised budget on Indiana’s Gateway portal, the Rainy Day Fund is at $500,000, the Debt Service Fund is just under $750,000, the Education Fund is just over $4.8 million and the Operations Fund is over $3.5 million.

Superintendent Dan Zylstra said the bus replacement plan includes the purchase of two new buses for 2022.  In the Capital Projects Plan, some improvements are planned in the Band/Choir Room, along with potential HVAC improvements around campus – specifically the pool area, the installation of an updated PA system around campus, as well as other smaller projects.

All resolutions pertaining to the budget, Bus Replacement Plan and the Capital Projects Plan were approved with a unanimous vote.
