This week is Community Foundation Week. It is a time to recognize generous foundations, companies and individuals who give their time, talent and treasure to improve life in Indiana.
According to information submitted by Community Foundation of Pulaski County officials, more than $193 million was put back into local communities by community foundations in Indiana.
Community Foundation of Pulaski County officials are planning to address high priority challenges with the creation of a community action plan, and find innovative and effective solutions for challenging social problems and promote opportunities to benefit residents.
They encourage residents to donate back to the community.
The Starke County Community Foundation is also celebrating Community Foundation Week. Representatives there encourage residents to give during the Giving Tuesday event November 30 at the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in North Judson from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT.
