The Eastern Pulaski School Board discussed Indiana College Core Courses during their last meeting, according to Superintendent Dara Chezem.
“We have nineteen students who could complete the Indiana College Core,” explained Chezem. “This is 30 dual credit hours that can be transferred to any Indiana college or university. Basically, these students would graduate high school and start college with sophomore year status.”
In order to finalize this opportunity, the school board approved the addition of two courses to this curriculum including Psychology 101 and Political Science 101.
Chezem continued, “These would be nine-week courses that those teachers may have to teach during their prep so the school board approved adding those courses as well as a stipend for the teachers to teach that nine weeks during their prep time.”
Those courses will be offered to students as soon as possible.
