The Henry F. Schricker Award dinner will be held tonight to honor community members who have been chosen for the award for their “service before self” to Starke County.
Congratulations to Linda Lewandowski who is this year’s winner. Mark Rippy was the winner in 2020.
The Business of the Year for 2021 is the Mint Festival for the volunteers who are involved with the festival and working to make it grow. President Donna Henry has expanded the event to include a Holiday Mint Fair to service the holiday shopping needs in North Judson. The Business of the Year in 2020 was Affordable Insurance.
The “Above and Beyond” award for 2021 goes to Ken Craig Community Garden, Arctic Air, and the Starke County Youth Club. Last year, the winners were the county’s school systems for their dedication to education.
The event is at 6 p.m. CT tonight at the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center in Knox. The 2021 and 2020 winners will be recognized during this event as the pandemic canceled last year’s event.
