Communities in Starke County and in Pulaski County are getting ready to ring in the holiday season.
Winamac’s Winter Wonderland is set in Winamac for Friday, December 3 and Saturday December 4. Vendors will be set up that Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and that Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET. The electric parade will begin at 7 p.m. ET and Santa will arrive on the fire truck. He will meet with children following the parade.
The Town of Culver will have a few events to help residents get in the holiday spirit Friday, December 3. Cookie decorating will start at 6 p.m. that day at the train depot, followed by the community tree lighting at 6:45 p.m. The parade will begin its way down Lakeshore Drive to Main Street at 7 p.m. (lineup at 6:15 p.m. ET), with Christmas caroling around town at 7:30 p.m. ET and a chance to meet Santa. The City of Knox will host the peppermint parade (parade application here) down Main Street Saturday, December 4 at 3:30 p.m. CT, followed by hot cocoa and cider with Santa at Wythogan Park. The tree lighting will be in the park at 5 p.m. CT.
The Town of Monterey will have a Christmas tree lighting Saturday, December 4 at 6 p.m. ET followed by a Christmas parade at 6:30 p.m. ET.
North Judson’s holiday celebration is Sunday, December 5 with the parade on Lane Street with the tree lighting at 6 p.m. CT at Norwayne Field.
