Officials from the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority are accepting applications from renters in the state for the Indiana Supreme Court’s Eviction Diversion Program.
The Eviction Diversion Program is intended to ensure housing stability for residents who have experienced a hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The renter must have a pending eviction filed against them in order to qualify and the renter must not have applied to or been assisted with any Emergency Rental Assistance program available in the state. If both parties agree to participate, the pending eviction action will be stayed up to 90 days while a resolution is decided.
Participants can choose to work with the IHCDA or their local emergency rental assistance program. All available programs at accessible through www.IndianaHousingNow.org.
Eligible participants who select the Indiana Emergency Rental Assistance program may receive up to 15 months of rental and utility assistance.
