The North Judson-San Pierre School Board members considered the purchase of an air conditioning unit for the High School Gym when they met Tuesday night.
Superintendent Dr. Annette Zupin explained that the school board appropriated ESSER Funds for this purchase in order to improve air quality in that facility.
“A standalone air conditioning unit for the gym will remediate those drafts that we get from the fans – movement fans. They push and pull dirt onto our floor which was a problem over the years and it’s not good for the air quality.”
The school board approved a motion to allow Fanning Howey officials to prepare bid documents to get the project started. The bids could be opened in the next few months with the project beginning shortly after a bid is awarded.
