North Judson-San Pierre School Board Ratifies Teacher Contract

The North Judson-San Pierre School Board met in special session Tuesday night to take action on the proposed Master Teacher Contract.

Superintendent Dr. Annette Zupin previously shared that the beginning teacher pay was increased to $40,500 with the top salary range at $70,500.  A new salary grid/schedule was incorporated into the contract where teachers are compensated on their years of experience and educational level.

Other highlights of the agreement include the corporation’s increased contribution toward employee health insurance, and there were increases in the extra-curricular activity schedule in order to be competitive with neighboring school districts and state averages.

The board approved the contract with a unanimous vote.
