North Judson Town Council Enters into Agreement for Low Income Water Assistance Program

The North Judson Town Council members approved a Memorandum of Agreement with the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) so residents may seek assistance with water and sewer bill payment help.

Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe explained that North Judson residents need to contact the organization online to apply for assistance.

“They will not cover penalties, turn-on or shut-off fees, or trash/recycling,” explained Rowe.  “If you’re behind on sewer or water, they’ll help with that, but there’s still some buy-in and some portion that will need to be covered by the resident in order to get turned back on fully with the other fees included in our utility charges, or if you are shut off or if you are late.”

Residents may apply online and the link is provided here.
