The North Judson Town Council members were updated on the five-year master parks plan when they met Monday night.
Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe said an engagement event was held last week concerning public input on what the community members would like to see at Norwayne Field, the Town Park, and around town.
Rowe stated, “We had around 20-or-so members of the community in for an afternoon – a few at a time – for about 40 to 45 minute sessions and most of those ran over which was good. They were talking about a lot of different things for our parks plan.”
The community members were able to identify pre-selected needs on a white board presented by The Troyer Group as well as things that may not suit the Town of North Judson. They also discussed different topics with representatives from The Troyer Group who will assemble those talking points into a report to be reviewed by park and town officials in a future setting.
The town is working on a five-year master parks plan to be eligible for grant dollars for potential projects. An online survey is available here.
