An Illinois woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Starke County Monday morning.
The Starke County Sheriff’s Department responded to the accident just before noon CT at the intersection at Toto Road and 550 E. in Knox. Policy say a preliminary investigation found that 63-year-old Anthony Michalowicz of Knox was traveling east on Toto Road in a pickup truck when 20-year-old Anna Bidnik of Norridge, Illinois reportedly disregarded a stop sign as she entered the intersection while traveling north on 550 E. in her vehicle and collided with Michalowicz’s vehicle.
As a result, Bidnik was injured and airlifted from the scene, according to the report. No other injuries were reported.
The Starke County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by Starke County EMS, Lutheran Air, Knox-Center Township Fire Department, and Bass Lake-California Township Fire Department.
