The staff at the Knox Community School Corporation is inviting the community to tour the buildings on campus for a chance to see new construction and updates made in the recent years.
Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart stated it is a self-guided tour, but maps will be available for those who attend.
Dr. Reichhart commented, “We hope that a lot of people from our community will come out and take a look at everything that’s been done with a net increase of zero tax dollars to our taxpayers.”
He said there are plenty of things to see at all three schools.
“They will be able to see the track, the video scoreboard at Community Field, the new multi-purpose room at the High School, and Redskin Plaza at the High School. They’ll be able to walk upstairs and downstairs at the High School to see every classroom and the renovations that we’ve done there. Over at the Elementary, they will be able to see the new third and fourth grade wing that was added on, as well as the renovations to the rest of the building, and the secure office areas. At the Middle School, they’ll be able to walk to the Weinberg Gym, as well as the secure office area, and see the new sidewalks that run through our campus and the new parking lots,” said Dr. Reichhart.
The buildings will be open Sunday, November 7 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. CT.
