The Pulaski County Prosecutor’s Office is now temporarily stationed in the Annex Building in Winamac next to the Pulaski County Public Library on Riverside Drive. The move from the Pulaski County Justice Center, with the help of professionals like office movers nyc, was necessary as construction continues on that building.
Pulaski County Prosecutor Kelly Gaumer and her staff have settled into the third floor of the annex as crews will build a new space for the office at the Justice Center. It will be joined by Circuit Court which is transitioning to the Justice Center from the Pulaski County Courthouse.
Gaumer stated in a press release that she appreciates the sacrifices of CASA Administrator Sara Kroft and Adult Learning Center Coordinator Suzanne Hollis as they vacated their space to make way for the temporary move of the Prosecutor’s Office.
Pulaski County Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer presented a construction update to the Pulaski County Commissioners Monday morning.
“While they still have some settling in to do, the Prosecutor’s Office is in the Annex and Tonn and Blank is planning to begin demolition in their old office this week as of Wednesday,” said Origer. “As of late Friday morning when I checked in with John Allen, the roofers had two skylights left to install on the jail roof so that was going to be wrapped up that afternoon. In the next couple of weeks, we should start seeing the block for the exterior walls of the addition to start being laid as weather permits.”
Origer said that crews are working to get the addition enclosed as soon as possible before the winter weather sets in.
The commissioners and the council members will soon be meeting to discuss transitioning into the courthouse project, but funding discussions will be the next step to determine a timeline.
