The Starke County Commissioners appointed a new EMA Director Monday morning.
The Advisory Board recommended the appointment of Joseph Williams. He has previous experience as an EMT in Pulaski County, Monticello and Lafayette, and was a former correctional officer in Pulaski County.
Williams will take over from Hannah Lueth who announced her resignation from the position at the beginning of October.
Williams will begin in the position today (November 16). He will be sharing office space with Park Superintendent Mark Vendl in the Starke County Annex No. 1 building in Knox.
