The Winamac Town Council members approved an ordinance that would limit the time of parking in front of Town Hall.
The ordinance states that eight parking spots located in front of Town Hall, including one handicap parking spot and seven non-handicap parking spots will be 15-minute parking only. The parking spots will be identified by signs.
The Winamac Police Department, Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department and other agents duly authorized will enforce this ordinance. Penalties will be issued for any violation of the ordinance. The first offense will be $25, the second offense will be $50 and any additional offenses will be $100. With the passage of this ordinance, the town may tow vehicles at the expense of the owner.
The ordinance will be in effect January 1.
