Officers from the Starke County Sheriff’s Department proudly grew beards in the month of November to raise money for a Starke County non-profit organization.
Starke County Sheriff Bill Dulin said $1,005 was raised during the No Shave November effort to benefit Kids Closet Ministry, NJUMC whose volunteers work to help Starke County families and children with backpacks for school and clothing. They also assist those less fortunate with a variety of other needs on a daily basis.
Kids Closet Director Linda Lewandowski met with Sheriff Dulin Wednesday morning to accept the check on behalf of the organization at the Starke County Sheriff’s Department.
Applications for Hope for the Holidays for those in need are available at the Kids Closet facility at 4735 W. State Road 10 in North Judson.
