The Pulaski County Commissioners and the Pulaski County Council members will meet in joint session tonight where they will discuss solar projects.
The commissioners are expected to consider the Mammoth Solar/Moss Creek Solar Economic Development Agreement. Pulaski County Mammoth Solar Project/Moss Creek Solar Project Economic Development Agreement Review Committee met Friday to review the agreement and paperwork from Baker Tilly on tax impact and economic impact. The agreement had been reviewed by Barnes and Thornburg representatives before the committee unanimously voted in favor of recommending the agreement to the Pulaski County Commissioners.
The Pulaski County Council is expected to hold a public hearing tonight regarding the Economic Revitalization Area request for the Mammoth Solar project for tax abatement following the joint session.
Additionally, Treasurer Teresa Bryant will present information for redeeming CDs for Cumulative Capital Development and LIT Economic Development. The commissioners and council will also discuss the Pulaski County Courthouse project, along with uses for the American Rescue Plan Act funds, sale of county properties, and property/liability insurance.
Following the joint session and the public hearing, the Pulaski County Council will meet where Highway Superintendent Gary Kruger will discuss pay, and Sheriff Jeff Richwine will discuss jail equipment and the Quality Correctional Care contract for 2022 and its mistaken exclusion from the 2022 budget. A transfer of funds will be requested to cover the cost instead of an additional appropriation.
The council members will also approve wage changes for 2022, and consider additional appropriations and transfers.
The joint commissioners/council meeting will begin at 6 p.m. ET tonight and the council meeting will follow the joint session. The meetings will be held in the Pulaski County Highway Garage at 1131 N. U.S. 35 in Winamac.
