Firefighters from the North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department responded to a fully-engulfed house fire in the 100 W. block of Toto Road Sunday, January 16 around 8 p.m. CT.
Fire Chief Joe Leszek said there was no one there at the time they arrived at the scene. Firefighters were there for about two-and-a-half hours and were assisted by the Knox-Center Township Fire Department.
Leszek said the cause of the fire was reportedly determined to be an improperly installed wood burning stove.
