The Pulaski County Council agreed to move forward with the sale of county property during their meeting this month and the commissioners reviewed possible sale actions last week.
The government leaders discussed selling the property to get the property back on the tax rolls and to have less property to maintain. The county sold the former Pleasant View Rest Home in 2017, but the barn, Pulaski County REACT building, and other land just east of the County Home totaling over two acres was not sold and is still in the county’s possession.
The council members discussed selling it at auction. They would need to get an appraisal done in order to set a minimum bid price. The commissioners agreed to move forward with the appraisal during their meeting last week. They will choose an auctioneer in a future meeting.
