The Starke County Commissioners will evaluate the Executive Order to close county buildings to the public when they meet this morning. They closed the building amid the rise of COVID-19 cases. Members of the public have been able to make appointments with department heads to conduct necessary business inside the buildings.
The commissioners will discuss the Starke County Economic Development Foundation/SCILL Center contract with Executive Director Lisa Dan, Prosecutor Leslie Baker will have job description changes, EMA Director Joseph Williams will talk about ADA plans, and the commissioners will continue with board appointments.
The Starke County Commissioners will meet at 9:30 a.m. CT today in the ground floor meeting room in the Starke County Annex Building No. 1 at 53 E. Mound Street in Knox.
The Starke County Council members will meet tonight where they will discuss pay raises for the Highway Department, the Starke County Economic Development Foundation/SCILL Center contract, and a pay request for a new job description for an EMT-A.
A reduction in appropriation for the Cumulative Capital Development Fund will be considered and there will be a 2023 budget discussion. Prosecutor Leslie Baker will also present a transfer request.
