The Starke County Park Board members reviewed several versions of a new logo when they met last month.
The board members previously commissioned Mirth and Whimsy to create new logo for the Starke County Park Board as a branding tool to be used when promoting the county’s parks.
Starke County Park Board member Rik Ritzler said a few proposed designs were shown to interested residents and the majority of those asked liked the logo that featured a person in a kayak floating toward a silhouetted background of pine trees that fades into a sunset. It was noted that cream-colored lettering will be featured throughout the logo that promotes Starke County Parks and Recreation.
Ritzler said there was an option to have the logo more round than oblong, so the designers will come up with different versions of that logo to present in a future meeting.
The park board did approve that design as the official logo. A draft photo of the new logo can be found with this story on our website at wkvi.com.
