The West Central School Board will be looking for a new superintendent in the coming months.
West Central School Superintendent Dan Zylstra submitted his resignation during Thursday night’s school board meeting.
“I tendered my resignation as of June 30, 2022,” stated Zylstra. “I’ve accepted a job in Iowa starting next school year.”
He said his family will be moving closer to family members in Iowa.
The school board will likely seek a service to assist in the search for a new superintendent to start July 1, 2022.
Zylstra has served as the superintendent at the West Central School Corporation for the past three years. Prior to that, he was the West Central Elementary School Principal for seven years.
