The Winamac Park Board has a new president.
The members voted Thursday night to appoint Dan Murphy as the new President with Steve Miller as Vice President and Kim Burke as Secretary. They also welcomed new member Mike Buchanan. He was sworn into office at the end of December.
The board members discussed the walking trail at the Winamac Town Park. They agreed that it is time that the entire asphalt surface be redone. It has seen a few repairs in its existence in the park, but it is in need of complete replacement.
They will seek bids for the project in a future meeting.
