The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Northern Indiana from Wednesday, February 2, at 1 a.m. ET to Thursday, February 3 at 7 p.m. ET.
In addition to heavy snowfall throughout the day Wednesday, forecasters say plummeting temperatures will make travel extremely hazardous Wednesday and Thursday in case vehicles get stuck. Additional snowfall amounts of 4 to 6 inches of light snow is anticipated to fall Thursday with sustained winds between 20-25 mph, resulting in significant blowing and drifting issues. Winds could gust between 30 to 35 mph. It will make travel difficult to impossible.
A total amount of snow is forecast to exceed 10 inches.
