Officials from the Indiana Department of Health announced Wednesday that changes are being made to the COVID-19 data dashboard that will better reflect the state of the pandemic and to the school reporting requirements.
State Health Commissioner Dr. Kristina Box stated in a press release, “…Due to the increased availability and use of home tests that are not reported to the state, the unique individual positivity and unique individuals tested fields no longer provide an accurate reflection of COVID-19 testing in our state.”
The unique individual positivity rate and unique individuals tested fields will be removed from the dashboard, as well as the current school dashboard. In the place of the school dashboard, a new Indiana youth COVID-19 dashboard will be featured reflecting cases, hospitalization and vaccinations of Hoosiers ages 0 to 19. The youth dashboard will be online Monday, February 28.
Schools are no longer required to report cases to the state health department, making the current school dashboard obsolete.
