The Knox Board of Works members opened bids during their most recent meeting for a new backhoe for the Knox Street Department.
McAllister Machinery submitted a total bid of $92,900 for a Caterpillar backhoe, West Side Tractor Sale submitted a total bid of $95,800 for a John Deere model, and McCann had a total bid of $77,000 for a shovel shift backhoe and $79,700 for a power shift backhoe.
Those total bid amounts include the trade-in allowance which ranged from $31,000 to $37,500.
Knox Street Superintendent Jeff Borg said he would review those bids and come back with a recommendation for the board during the next meeting.
The board officially voted to take the bids under advisement so Borg could complete his review.
