The Oregon-Davis School Board members appointed a new board member when they met in special session Tuesday night.
Chris Lawrence recently resigned from his seat on the board.
Superintendent Bill Bennett told WKVI News that there were seven candidates who sought interest in the seat. The board members conducted interviews in a work session last week.
They ultimately appointed Terry Minix to the Oregon-Davis School Board. He will fill out the rest of Lawrence’s term, but the seat will be up for election this fall.
