The Hamlet Town Council is holding a public hearing Tuesday, February 8 concerning the potential formation of a Fire Protection Territory.
The Fire Protection Territory would be composed of the Town of Hamlet and Davis Township. The adoption of the Fire Protection Territory would create a uniform tax rate for fire operating and building, and equipment replacement which would be applied to all taxable property in each unit of the territory.
More information will be provided during the public hearing Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. Ct and the Community Center at 15 W. Indiana Ave. in Hamlet.
