The Pulaski County Commissioners received an update on the Justice Center project when they met Monday night.
Pulaski County Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer presented the information.
“The first floor framing is done and second floor framing and HVAC are underway,” explained Origer. “Fire suppression installation is basically complete. In-wall inspections have been completed on the first floor, and they will be beginning drywall installation this week. Now that the space has been cleared in the basement, framing of the IT and storage areas will be underway soon.”
He said work is also ongoing on the second floor of the Justice Center.
“Second floor slab on deck, roof deck, stairwell, and courtroom-raised platforms have all been poured, and they’ve started building Judge Welker’s bench, as well as the witness stand and the reporter’s stand.”
He said the contractors lost three days due to the snow storm last week, but the time should be made up quickly.
He noted that the budget for the project is fairly healthy.
