The Starke County Commissioners have decided to keep Starke County under a Warning Level travel advisory through Friday, February 4, at 5 a.m. CT when highway crews will return to work. At that time, the county will downgrade to a Watch Level travel advisory. A Watch Level travel advisory means essential travel, such as to and from work or in emergency situations, is recommended, and emergency action plans should be implemented by businesses, schools, government agencies, and other organizations.
Starke County government buildings will be OPEN for workers, but the buildings will still be closed to the public due to COVID-19 restrictions. Residents needing to conduct business inside county buildings should call the office ahead of time to make an appointment.
