The Starke County Park Board continues to look for a new park superintendent.
The county has been without a superintendent for a couple of months.
As of the last park board meeting earlier this month, the board members learned that there has been a lack of applicants.
The superintendent operates the parks in the county and performs duties asked of the Starke County Park Board. The candidate must be qualified by training or experience in the field of parks and recreation or have a certification or an advanced degree in the field of parks and recreation.
Additionally, the park board is looking to hire a Bass Lake Beach admissions attendant and a part-time office clerk. Both job descriptions are listed on the Starke County government website.
