The Hamlet Town Council members held the second reading of a bulk water sales ordinance at their most recent meeting.
The advertisement shows a $50 hook-up fee with a water meter provided by the Water Department. If no meter is needed, the hook-up fee can be waived at the Water Department’s discretion.
Water rates for bulk water will be $10.00 per 1,000 gallons with a $10.00 minimum.
Bulk sales will be provided at the discretion of the Hamlet Water Department.
The ordinance addresses new customers.
The ordinance was approved on the second reading at the last Hamlet Town Council meeting. The ordinance will be in effect once the ordinance is passed on third reading at the March 9 meeting.
