The La Porte County Sheriff’s Department says a man was injured in an alleged shooting incident Thursday afternoon in the 4700 East block of Michigan Street in Rolling Prairie.
Deputies arrived at the scene shortly after being dispatched to the scene around 3:18 p.m. CT. Police say a 36-year-old woman allegedly shot a 37-year-old man during a domestic dispute. The man sustained an upper body injury and was transported to a regional hospital for treatment, according to the report.
The investigation remains open and ongoing and no arrests have been made. Police are not releasing any other information at this time.
The La Porte County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Kankakee Township Volunteer Fire Department and La Porte County EMS.
