The Pulaski County Commissioners had the appointment of a new Veterans Service Officer on the agenda Monday night, but they will need to continue their search.
Commission President Chuck Mellon explained that the commissioners interviewed four people for the position and selected a candidate, but that candidate was offered a better position within the same capacity and decided to move in that path.
Mellon commented that the commissioners will table the appointment until they are able to fill the position.
Pulaski County has been without a Veterans Service Officer since December.
