The Pulaski County Council members took action this week to make changes to the Handbook Policy concerning mileage and travel reimbursement.
Auditor Laura Wheeler said claims show that some people use the state rate and others use the county rate so it would be easiest to use just one rate. The council members agreed to follow the state rate. With that, the Handbook Policy was approved with a unanimous vote.
Additionally, the council members will be meeting in their committees to tackle the top problems to solve in this year. They are mainly focused on the salary matrix and budgeting. Those meetings will be held soon with information to be brought back to the council for further discussion.
