The West Central School Board members will hold a public meeting tonight to take comments on the proposed superintendent contract.
The board is looking to hire a new superintendent following the announcement of Dan Zylstra’s resignation. His last day is June 30 of this year.
According to the contract that is posted on the school corporation’s website, the contract would be for three years with a base salary of $106,000 with a $1,500 increase in the next two contract years. The other terms include health insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, vision insurance, teacher’s retirement, 403(b) contribution and FICA contribution.
The superintendent shall receive 20 vacation days per year along with 7 major holidays and sick and personal days per the Master Teacher Contract. The entire contract can be found on the school corporation’s website at https://wcsc.k12.in.us/.
Tonight’s meeting is at 7:30 p.m. ET in the board room in room B-113 through door 19.
