Work to Resume on Second Phase of Lake Max Trail in Culver

Work is expected to resume soon on the second phase of the Lake Max Trail in Culver.

The second phase of the Lake Max Trail includes a one-mile extension of the trail from the Culver Park to Washington Street, Plymouth Street and South Main Street.  The Plymouth Street portion of the trail is what will be worked on next.

Culver Town Manager Ginny Bess Munroe told the Culver Town Council last week that a letter was received from residents in the 400 block of Plymouth Street concerning a drainage issue in the alley.  She said she will speak to The Troyer Group officials and Utility Superintendent Bob Porter to discuss drainage plans in the area already within the trail project and if there could be additional action taken to alleviate standing water in that area.  Residents have reported flooding issues in that area for several years.

A meeting is scheduled for this week with the construction company to go over the plans for the remainder of the trail project with crews returning to work this spring.
