Eastern Pulaski School Board Approves Retirements

The Eastern Pulaski School Board members approved the retirements of several employees who have been at the school corporation for many years enriching the lives of students, according to Superintendent Dara Chezem.

Chezem commented, “Mrs. Julie Perkins has touched many lives through her support and advocacy as one of our High School Special Education teachers throughout the last five years.  Mrs. Shirley Burns has kept our Elementary spotless over the last 22 years as one of our custodians.  Her smiling face will be missed by our staff and students.  Mrs. Lenora Hoover has helped prepare, cook and plan our meals for the last 29 years and most recently served as Food Service Director for the past five.  Mr. John Hendryx has impacted many student lives as Dean of Students and Varsity Football Coach.  I appreciate the relationships he has developed with our students both on and off the field in the last two years that he returned to Winamac.”

The board thanked the retirees for their work at Eastern Pulaski Schools.
