Hamlet Town Council to Look into Crowdfunding Campaign for Upcoming Project

The Hamlet Town Council members are going to look into a Crowdfunding campaign in order to gather funds for an upcoming project.

Council President Dave Kesvormas suggested a lighting project on Starke Street.  The old lights and poles will be replaced with other lights and poles in an effort to beautify the area.

Kesvormas mentioned a potential sidewalk project which could connect to the walking trail, but it could be included in an upcoming Community Crossings Matching Grant request as part of a repaving and drainage improvement project on Starke Street between Pearl and Terry Streets.

The town would be asking to raise funds for the project and a Crowdfunding campaign through the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority would match what is collected.  The town will get some estimates on what the project will cost and then put together a campaign.
