Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch will be visiting the North Judson-Wayne Township Public Library Saturday, April 9 to recognize two big events.
The Lt. Governor will be at the library at 12:30 p.m. CT for about an hour to recognize National Library Week and to honor the facility’s centennial celebration this summer.
Library Director Kelsie Purcell told WKVI News that some improvements have been made to the facility in time for the upcoming celebration. New paint is on the walls upstairs along with new carpet. Fresh paint has been applied to walls in the basement along with a mural. New windows were installed a short time ago. Purcell said a maker space is planned in the basement and other improvements.
A building dedication is planned for a date and time yet to be determined in May with the centennial celebration Thursday, June 2 from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. CT.
Purcell said other state representatives have been invited to visit the library Saturday along with the Lt. Governor. The North Judson Town Council members have also been invited to attend as well as the general public.
