The North Judson Town Council members will soon be reviewing quotes from Peerless Midwest concerning an upcoming water well project.
Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe said the council members have agreed to use the first round of American Rescue Plan Act dollars to upgrade well piping and treatment systems.
“There’s a lot of stuff in there that is decades-old,” said Rowe. “There’s the plumbing inside the building, our well – part of the project this year will be Well 2, and then meter upgrades throughout town to get all of our meters to radio reads or newer, updated models.”
Rowe said an ordinance will be considered for a plan on how to spend the funds and other steps necessary to appropriate funds for the project.
