Pulaski County Council Member Accused of Voting outside Precinct Residence, Other Charges

A Pulaski County Council member was placed into custody of the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday afternoon after a warrant was served for his arrest.

According to a report from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Brian M. Young, 47, of Winamac, is accused of Level 6 Felony charges of voting outside precinct residence, theft, perjury, and official misconduct as a result of an ongoing investigation. 

A La Porte County judge has assumed jurisdiction in the case as both Pulaski County judges have recused themselves. 

Suspects are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty in a court of law.
